Kittykats Cat and Small Pet Sitting - Terms & Conditions 2025

​

Definitions

All references to ‘Kittykats’ ‘the company’, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’ and ‘sitter(s)’ refers to Kittykats staff and any members of the Kittykats team

All references to ‘the owner’, ‘the client(s)’, ‘service-user(s)’, and ‘you’ refers to people who book and use the services of Kittykats

All references to ‘cat(s)’ or ‘pet(s’) refer to the animal for which you book the services of Kittykats

Bookings

  • All bookings constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

  • Before booking, Kittykats offers the client a free/no obligation ‘meet and greet session’ (up to one hour in duration), where the client meets the sitter and provides the sitter with instructions on how to care for their pet(s)

  • Information given during the initial ‘meet and greet’ will be used by the sitter for all subsequent bookings, unless the client notifies Kittykats of any changes

  • The client agrees to disclose their pet(s) care requirements and behavioural or medical conditions

  • Kittykats will try to accommodate all booking requests wherever possible, but this cannot be guaranteed

  • Kittykats reserves the right to refuse a booking where a service may not be deemed appropriate for the animal in question

​​Cancellations

  • Full refund if cancelled before 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking, 50% refund afterward and up to the start date

  • No refund is payable if the booking is cancelled on or after the start date

Payment

Full payment for Kittykats’ services is due at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.

General Pet safety

  • Kittykats recommend that clients keep their pet(s) indoors whilst in our care

  • Kittykats will take all reasonable care of your pet(s), but pet(s) in our care are nonetheless cared for by us entirely at your own risk

  • Kittykats cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet(s) either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care

  • We cannot be held responsible for any third-party injuries caused by your pet(s)

  • If your pet(s) has their own access to the outside, we cannot be held liable for any disappearance, injuries or death

  • Kittykats will endeavour to, but cannot guarantee to see your pet(s) at every visit if the pet has access to the outdoors

  • If we don’t see your pet when we visit, we will let you know immediately after the visit

  • Kittykats will check each room (your pet has access to) during each visit, to look for your pet if necessary and to check for and clean up any messes  

  • Kittykats advise all clients to have their pet(s) insured against sickness, accident, injury, loss and third-party liability. Kittykats reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal who is not insured

  • Kittykats will administer oral medicine as required according to client’s instructions but cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from the medication or administration

Cover and fulfilment

  • We shall always try and visit your pet(s) as near as possible to the time slot you request but we reserve the right to visit outside of the allotted time slot in case of any problems that may arise

  • Kittykats are not responsible for any delays outside our control

  • Kittykats endeavours to provide the same sitter who attends the ‘meet and greet’, but reserves the right to provide a different sitter in the case of an emergency, sickness or injury

Instructions and supplies for the care of your pet(s)

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with full details and instructions (written and/or orally) on how to care for their pet(s)

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with all the items necessary for their pet(s) to be adequately cared for, this includes, but is not limited to food, medication, leads, tags, collars and pet(s) litter

  • Kittykats will endeavour to clean up and any surface dirt caused by your pet(s) according to your instructions

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with cleaning equipment and cleaning products, such as refuse sacks, cleaning cloths and sponges, washing up liquid, carpet cleaner and antibacterial cleaners, so that the sitter can washup used food bowls and dishes, clean up any messes including but not limited to your pet(s) vomit, faeces, urine, dirt and dead animals brought into your property by your pet(s)

  • Kittykats will not accept liability for any damage to the property or its’ contents caused by your pet(s)

  • Should pet(s) require any additional supplies during the period of care, these will be purchased by the sitter and added to the bill. This includes any veterinary care or medication. Any shop visits required to purchase supplies for the adequate care of the pet(s), or any vet visits required for the welfare of the pet(s) will be billed at the hourly rate (or part of), plus mileage

  • Mileage/time is calculated from the sitters’ home to the shop or vets and back to the sitter’s home

Veterinary treatment

  • Clients accept that in the case of an emergency, sickness or injury, their pet(s) may require veterinary care and agree to give Kittykats permission to seek appropriate veterinary care

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with the pet(s) veterinary details

  • Kittykats will undertake the permissions given by the client unless a change is considered imperative for the immediate welfare of the pet(s)

  • If it becomes necessary, your pet(s) will be taken to a veterinary surgeon. You agree to be responsible for payment of veterinary fees incurred. The client agrees to either reimburse Kittykats for any fees paid or pay the Veterinary Surgery directly

Emergencies

  • Kittykats will undertake the permissions given by the client unless a change is considered imperative for the immediate welfare of the pet(s)

  • The client agrees to provide Kittykats with the name and contact telephone number of someone in the UK who is capable of making decisions relating to the pet(s) or property, in an emergency, if the client cannot be contacted

  • All reasonable efforts will be made to contact you or your nominated person in the event of an emergency, but Kittykats reserves the right to make decisions regarding your pet(s) and will act on the advice of a veterinary surgeon, where appropriate

  • Kittykats sitters will not be held liable for any illnesses or injuries your pet(s)s may suffer whilst using our services, nor for the death of a pet(s)

 Security & Insurance

  • Kittykats are covered by their own public liability insurance. Every precaution is taken to fully care for and protect the pet(s) in their care

  • The client gives the sitters permission to enter their property to carry out the booked services at the arranged date and time

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with the necessary means of access to their property, including door keys and any codes

  • Clients’ keys will be stored in a secure filing cabinet at the Kittykats office and will only be marked with the name of the pet(s)

  • The client agrees to ensure that their property, its contents, and pet(s) are adequately insured while Kittykats cares for your pet(s)

  • Clients must ensure that their household insurance covers losses incurred whilst there is a sitter present

  • We will not accept liability for any damage to the property or its contents caused by your pet(s)

  • Kittykats will not be held responsible for any issue that may arise at any property they may be attending

  • The client agrees to ensure that all windows are closed and secured for the duration of the sitter’s visits

  • Kittykats will not open or close any windows during our visits, unless requested by the client

  • Kittykats will not be held liable for any break-ins or vandalism on your property during your use of our services

Car Parking

  • The client agrees to allow the sitter to park their car in the client’s allocated parking space or driveway for the duration of the sitters visit

  • The client agrees to provide the sitter with any necessary parking permits. If no permits are provided and a sitter incurs a penalty charge, the owner agrees to cover the cost of the charge

  • Where there is no available free car-parking (within a 5-minute walking distance of the client’s home) and the sitter has to pay a parking fee in order to visit the clients pet(s), the client agrees to pay Kittykats the associated parking costs

Communications

  • Communications from Kittykats to the client will be made by phone, text, email or WhatsApp. After each visit to your pet(s), we will send you a brief text update a couple of photos.

Data protection

  • Kittykats treat all data about clients, sitters, prospective clients, and prospective sitters as strictly confidential and will not be sold or passed onto any third parties. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy (GDPR). All client’s details will be kept in a secure filing cabinet at the Kittykats office and any clients who no longer wish to use our service will have their details destroyed

Photos and social media

  • The client gives Kittykats permission to take photos of their pet(s)

  • The client gives Kittykats permission to share photos of their pet(s) on Kittykats’ social media accounts. Such photos will remain the property of Kittykats. Any photos taken by Kittykats will only show the pet and no personal details will be shared. If you do not want photos of your pet(s) shared online, please let us know.
