I love all cats and am very proud to be known as the ‘cat-whisperer’ among my family and friends. My extensive experience includes over 30 years of caring for cats, including 10 of my own over the years (I currently have 5 rescue cats). As a loving cat owner, I understand that leaving your beloved pet can be stressful for all, so, prior to booking, I offer a free meet and greet to ensure you are happy to go ahead with booking me. My services:
- My daily availability is between 7.30am – 10pm.
- Care of up to 3 pets (cat and small animal, exc. dogs and ferrets)
- Feeding your pet(s) as required and providing access to fresh water (please leave enough pet-food for the duration of my visits)
- Basic medication – non injectables
- Keeping your cat/pet(s) in a hygienic condition, basic grooming and litter trays kept clean.
- At each visit, I will check each room (that your pet has access to) for any messes and clean up
- Spending time with the cat/pet(s) and playing with them
- Daily text or email updates if desired
- Keeping in contact with you regarding any changes with your pet(s), any signs of illness or injury are reported to the owner and if required, bringing your pet(s) to the vet, when agreed to by the owner or in an emergency
- Tidying cages, feeding, and doing a full clean of cages if the booking is more than 4 days
- Home locked up and secured after the booking (please provide all details to ensure this)
- All keys returned at the end of booking as instructed by you
- Mail collected
- Rubbish taken out if needed (please provide details of bin collection days)
- Basic house plant watering and garden pots

- Please disclose any behavioural issues of your cat/pet(s)
- Please provide any special requirements or instructions including portion sizes of food, if applicable
- Please label any medication properly, include clear dosage instructions, timings (if applicable), and whether it needs to be taken with food. Please ensure enough medication is provided for the duration of my visits
- Please share information about where the cat/pet(s) is allowed to go (include details of access to cat flap), and where your cat(s) should use the toilet (outside or litter tray). If a litter tray is provided, please ensure enough litter is available for the sitting period
- Please close the doors to any rooms that are off-limits to your pet(s) and please ensure windows are shut
- Please provide emergency contact details
- Please provide details of usual vet practice
- Please ensure enough food is provided for the entire sitting period Please provide easy and safe access to your home for your pet and me
- Please provide pet-food and cleaning supplies in a convenient location
- If you have a security camera(s), inside or outside the house, please disclose this before the booking

Happiness Guarantee
All bookings made through Pawshake include the Pawshake Guarantee, which acts as a safety net covering veterinary care for injured or ill pets, and third-party liability for sitters. This coverage, including the Happiness Guarantee for disputes, applies to all services paid for and processed via the Pawshake platform after the initial free Meet & Greet visit.
1. Peace of Mind Guarantee (Veterinary Coverage)
This provides financial assistance if a pet falls ill or is injured during a booking.
What it covers: Emergency veterinary costs for the “guest pet” that result directly from the sitter’s actions or omissions.
Limits: Reimbursement is typically capped at £2,500. Excess/Deductible: There is a £50 excess for every claim, payable by the pet owner.
Public Liability: Covers sitters against third-party claims for bodily injury or property damage caused by the guest pet, up to a limit of £2,500.
2. Happiness Guarantee
If you are unsatisfied with the service, Pawshake acts as a neutral mediator to resolve disputes and may provide compensation or refunds if a compromise cannot be reached between the owner and sitter.
To ensure your booking is eligible, you must follow these requirements:
Booking & Payment: The stay must be confirmed and paid for through the Pawshake website or app before it begins.
Meet & Greet: A Meet & Greet is mandatory for your first booking with a specific sitter to activate coverage.
Written Agreements: Any special care instructions or agreements must be in writing (e.g., via Pawshake messages).
Reporting: Incidents must be reported to Pawshake support within 24 hours.
The guarantee does not cover the following:
Pre-existing conditions: Illnesses or injuries that existed before the booking.
Property damage: Damage to the sitter’s or owner’s personal property (e.g., chewed furniture).
Preventable conditions: Issues like fleas, ticks, or conditions that could have been prevented by vaccinations.
Sitter’s own pets: Injuries to the sitter’s personal pets are not covered.
- I offer a full refund if cancelled before 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking, 50% refund afterward. Please note that I am not able to offer a refund if the booking is cancelled on or after the start date.
